The Evolution of a Disbeliever

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Recognize what you have developed over the decades in your face-to-face classroom. Take the balcony view of your teaching methods, syllabus, student experience, evaluation process, grading, course materials, text and student-teacher relationships. Now, shake it up!!! What has risen to the top? What has worked? What is the most important thing?  So how do you duplicate the BEST of your face-to-face course online?  This session will help you take the time to discover, face the challenge, and study the options for developing an interactive and engaging online or hybrid class. Joyce and Dennis will discuss Joyce’s Reese’s Peanut Butter approach to online course development and you’ll learn how she moved from a text-centric model to incorporating VoiceThread for both lectures and student assignments. Be open to the thought that online could be better and join us for an engaging (and snack-filled) session.
